Building Your First Webpages Using Zymic's
Free Web Hosting

    This lesson will assume that you have studied HTML at one or more of our recommended Design Sites ...if you haven't done that yet, go do it and return here and we will show you how to use www.Zymic.com's Free Web Hosting to serve your newly learned HTML code document (web page)...

    Use Zymic until you "get the hang of it" and then find a low cost Pay Host and continue to build your pages Offline on your PC using a text editor, and upload them to your new Pay Host online, using an FTP Program on your PC...     Using Zymic, which is a FREE Web Host, will produce a REAL World Wide Web URL (Web Address) for your webpages and you or anyone can use any Web Browser to View your pages! And with Zymic, unlike most Free Web Hosts, NO Ad Banners will be placed on your web pages (as compensation for giving you their FREE web space). Later when you can command a better understanding of webpage design, you can open an account at a more Professional Pay Host which will NOT place any banners on your pages either (but will charge for the hosting) however many more benefits will be offered by Pay Hosts that you might want later (such as a CGI-Bin, SSI Includes, More Bandwidth, E-Mail Accounts, Your Own Domain Name etc.)!

    In addition your Zymic URL (Web Address) for your pages will be limited to what they allow... but when you move to a more Professional Web Host, you can find and purchase your own Domain Name and Transfer it to your new Host, so that you will have the URL that you (probably) really want for your web address...

    OK now let's get started... point your web browser to www.Zymic.com ... it's always a good idea to quickly look over their front page first to see all of what they have to offer...

Now click the "Sign Up/ Log In" link:

On the next page, fill in the Sign Up info and BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD:

On the next page you'll get a "Thank You" and then you can close the window and go check that E-Mail... in the message you need to click the Activation Link... then you can proceed at the Zymic site to click "Control Panel Home":

On the next page proceed to click "Creat New Web Hosting Account":

On the next page choose your web site name:

Next you will need to select a second Password (for the web site... different from your Zymic login password) and again BE SURE TO WRITE THIS SECOND PASSWORD DOWN ON PAPER ALONG WITH YOUR WEB SITE NAME (Including The Full File Extension... example: "myname.zxq.net" Note: You can choose from a few extensions on the drop down list!):

On the next page please Agree To The Terms Of Service and check any appropriate boxes, then click "Create Website Account"

Next you'll get a "Congratulations" page... on the next page you need to "Login To Your Control Panel" IMPORTANT: Notice your FTP Detail Info... use this for FTP'ing your PC Html files to the Zymic Server, using (we recommend) FILEZILLA FTP:

Once you get to the Control Panel, click "File Manager":

If you get a message directing you further, click the link to their "Knowledge Base" and read about FTP (Transfering Your HTML Document on your PC, to Their Web Server) instead of using their File Manager:
